Contractor Information

In order to support our members to upgrade their homes, our credit union has recently joined the CU Greener Homes (www.cugreenerhomes.ie) initiative, which has been developed by the Irish League of Credit Unions, Energia and House 2 Home. CU Greener Homes is a one-stop solution which provides homeowners with access to all of the information and supports needed to carry out home energy efficiency upgrades. This includes the initial assessment, the grant application, the provision of low-cost finance and project management. Grant support of up to 40% is available to homeowners for eligible work. All building works carried out as part of the scheme are managed directly by House 2 Home and conducted by a network of community-based contractors.

Our credit union has already had strong interest from our members in this initiative and we would very much like work done as part of the scheme to be carried out, where possible, by contractors from our local area.
